Butterfly Sudoku uses four overlapping 9x9 grids

Butterfly Sudoku is an overlapping-grid variant in which four complete 9x9 Sudokus share central regions. Each component grid must independently contain 1 through 9 exactly once in every row, column, and 3x3 box. The overlaps do not create a new symbol set or a new arithmetic condition. They simply make some cells belong to more than one component Sudoku. This means a value solved in an overlap must satisfy every row, column, and box that reaches it through each grid. Before you begin, study the thick borders and identify the four full 9x9 frames. A common Butterfly Sudoku error is to keep solving one outer wing long after its useful information has stopped reaching the center.
